Who I Am: Meet Jayrene Kagure
I am an elite podcast producer and manager by trade and an economist by training. With a ton of hobbies, she barely has time for. One of them is crocheting.
In 2020, I was introduced to the idea of working online. I started out as a blog writer before transitioning to being a Virtual Assistant. At some point, one of my VA clients had me help around with the administrative aspects of their podcast launch. Little did I know that I had just been introduced the amazing podcasting space!
I was sold! I listened (and still do listen) to a number of business and self-improvement podcasts. I took a course where I learnt podcast editing (and more), and decided to make a job out of my love for podcasts. This passion led me to transition from my initial career path into the dynamic world of podcast management.
Why podcasts? Simply put, I love everything about them—from the art of storytelling to the technical aspects of production like editing.
I enjoy reading, cooking, and exploring new hobbies when I’m not immersed in podcast management. Earning an income while working from home or anywhere with internet access is a privilege I wouldn’t trade for anything!
